This article will show you how to do AB testing with Google Optimize.

1、Create a Google Optimize container

Login in Google Optimize  via  https://optimize.google.com/optimize/home/#/accounts. Click the plus sign to create a container.

It will pop up a page on the right, the container name is the website domain name, and then created.

2、Google Optimize is associated with Google Analytics

We are now linking Google Optimize to Google Analytics,You must be the administrator account privilege of both products to be associated. Click on the third step

3、Deploy Google Optimize

After determining the association, a page will pop up with a piece of code on it, which needs to be deployed to the page. Here we choose to deploy it through GTM.The information on the page is like this:

Next we go directly to the GTM to set up Google Optimize:

Click”Tags”——”New”——“Choose a tag type to begin set-up…”——”Google Optimize”:

Name it Google Optimize, copy the container ID to the Google Optimize Container, select a Google Analytics settings, and save it. Note that you don’t need to select a trigger to save it.

Click“Advanced Settings”——”Tag Sequencing”——“Fire a tag before Basic Tracking fires”,finally choose Google Optimize,:

4、Create a test experiment

Next is to create an AB test,Click “Let’s Go”

Name is the name of the experiment, named 2019-Color here.

What is the URL of the page you’d like to use? This is called your editor page,fill out the page to test.

After confirmation, enter the experimental specific information settings:
