Issue

“None” channel appears in Marketing Channel：

Reason

The “None” channel would generally be the ones which do not fall into any of the conditions specified in the rules. 

  • Marketing Channel Processing Rules does not include all scenarios, such as cid=test123, if it is not included in any current Processing Rules, AA will not know how to deal with it and will classify it as “None“

Usually, when processing rules, multiple dimensions are used, and there may be omissions.

The suggestion is to use one dimension as much as possible, such as Tracking Code to set Processing Rules.

 

Solution

Usually None belongs to the Direct channel, and a rule can be created to divide all pages into the Direct channel:

      Do you use CID to track? You can set the Channel value to cid.

  5. Am getting the None value for display channel, when i was breakdown with marketing channel detail. My rule condition is I have stored the value after ? in the url and collected in under one variable called query string. And i have created the If that query string contains display. and Set the channel's value to will be Search Engine. whether it will create none issue?

      What this will affect is that without this type, there is no value, so it is displayed as none.

      marketing channel detail indicates the previous page. If it is accessed directly, it will display none.
